Full Time Position

A rare and exciting opportunity now exists for a customer service focused Purchasing Officer to join the team. This is a full-time position commencing immediately and will suit a highly organised and commercially savvy individual with great communication and negotiation skills.

The responsibilities and duties of the positions include, but are not limited to:
• Purchasing, warehousing and control of all medical supplies and consumables
• Management of the warehouse and stores staff
• Meeting and engaging with suppliers and representatives
• Identifying savings opportunities and supply chain efficiencies
• Meeting with clinical and department managers to meet supply needs
• Manage stock taking and inventory control across all stock keeping units

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and a positive proactive approach
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lead negotiations and drive positive commercial outcomes
• Ability to manage a small team to operate efficiently
• Knowledge of e-procurement and supply chain principles
• Previous experience in a hospital or health care environment, although not essential
