Role Description

Our client is a Shared Services  Partnership comprising of 25 shareholders across the Financial industry. They are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager, initially for a 12 month period, which may be extended,  to consolidate the joint requirements of the shareholders in order to obtain favourable pricing and terms associated with centralised procurement.

Based in the Sydney CBD you will report directly

 

 

Collaboration and Relationships

•Work with the Board to support their business plans and to advise on procurement and contract impacts and issues and support the identification and delivery of opportunities to maximise efficiency and effectiveness

•Foster cohesive and constructive relationships with key stakeholders to achieve business outcomes

•Develop an approach that supports a whole of business and member view that reflects and supports the enhancement of the client Brand

•Provide reporting as per expectations and standards  

 

Responsibilities  will include

Establish, implement and, lead the procurement function  to realise the following ongoing benefits:

•deliver value for money using proven procurement pathways and skilled resources

•have clear accountabilities and ownership of suppliers

•maintenance of a corporate contracts register of all contracts with clear visibility of review & renewal targets

•have visibility of pipeline contract volumes to benefit stakeholders supporting the procurement value chain in terms of resource allocation

•Deliver procurement and contract services with continued improvements in timeliness, quality and competitive practices across all areas of procurement;

•Encourage and co-ordinate proactive engagement with procurement suppliers

•Provide accurate, comprehensive and timely reports to the Board on the operation of, and compliance with, the approved procurement model

•Undertake a consultative process with key procurement stakeholders

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Procurement or equivalent skills and knowledge gained through relevant experience

Desirable

  • Business or relevant Supply Chain Management Degree

 

Essential Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing and realising the benefits of a centralised procurement system
  • Demonstrated experience in managing financial resources to deliver customer focused services within appropriate governance structures.
  • Problem solving skills for proactive risk identification management and issue resolution.
  • Experience in leading projects at department and inter-department level.
